When you’re looking for a replacement bulb, make sure you’re checking both the wattage and lumen count. The more lumens, the brighter the light will be.

I have a fixture that came with a 18W cfl bulb with a GU24 base. I says it should not be used with a photocell control. Is there a CFL GU24 base bulb that can be used with a dusk to dawn photocell control?
I have 2 recessed 6″ gimbal lights that were designed for PAR 30. They keep burning out every 3-4 months. Had an electrician look at the housings and he said the wiring was fine and so was the canister. He thought the bulbs were getting too hot. I have reduced the usage of the lights but they still burn out. I would like to replace the PAR 30 gimbals with ones that will take BR30, thinking LED’s are the way to go. Can you recommend a BR30 size gimbal replacement?
